The Opportunity

As a Technical Lead at King Living, you will play a pivotal role in our ongoing digital transformation initiatives. This role balances technical responsibilities with leadership duties, managing a 30% hands-on and 70% management workload. You will be instrumental in setting up and leading a new team based in the Philippines, supporting our existing websites development and playing a critical role in the technology scoping and execution for future website projects.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a team of full-stack Magento and Shopify developers, including QA.
  • Oversee multiple projects, ensuring top-level efficiency in processes, communication, deployment, and security.
  • Actively manage timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Maintain hands-on involvement with our current Magento and Shopify-based platforms.
  • You will be the go-to person for questions, investigations, and the first line for urgent bug checking.
  • Drive the integration of AI technologies into our business processes, demonstrating a proactive approach to leveraging emerging technologies for business solutions.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to define business and system requirements for new technology implementations.
  • Ensure that all tech solutions are scalable, sustainable, and aligned with business needs.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure using AWS, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.
  • Oversee deployment processes and optimise cloud resources.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, automate workflows, and ensure seamless integration and delivery of software projects.
  • Promote a DevOps culture within the team to enhance collaboration and efficiency.
  • Interface as the Scrum Master within your team, ensuring that Agile principles and practices are followed rigorously.
  • Act as the militant controller to enforce adherence to Agile methodologies and foster a high-performing, collaborative team environment


Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in coding and leading technology teams and managing large-scale projects.
  • Demonstrable experience with Magento is essential. Familiarity with Shopify.
  • Hands-on experience in full-stack development, including advanced knowledge of web development frameworks and databases.
  • Experience in deploying and managing eCommerce platforms.
  • Solid experience in managing AWS environments.
  • Proficiency in monitoring, scaling, and securing cloud-based applications.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with experience in setting up and managing remote teams, preferably in the Philippines.
  • Experience with real AI projects, demonstrating an ability to integrate advanced technology into business practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas in a clear and accessible manner to non-technical stakeholders.
